Paperboy Price: $29.95
Paperboy is a threaded offline newsreader that lets you easily read and keep track of USENET news. Just set your prefs and pick your newsgroups. Then you can retrieve your unread news (or tell Paperboy to retreive it at a certain time every day... so new news will already be downloaded when you wake up), then disconnect your Newton and read your news wherever you take your Newton.
Paperboy has a simple and customizable interface, letting you change the fonts and resize portions of the screen to your liking. There is also a full screen mode, and easy navigation buttons to quickly navigate through your news.
Post new articles or followups while reading news, and they will be uploaded and posted the next time you connect. You can edit queued articles later, or mark them as a "draft" until ready for posting. Paperboy also lets you import notes from the notepad into posts.
Paperboy also lets you set up filters for threads and authors, so you don't have to see news you don't want to. Filters can be global or group-specific, and have a variety of options.
Paperboy lets you search through the thread list, individual articles, or all the articles in a group so you can quickly find what you are looking for.
