General Super Names for Palm OS Questions
1.1
I've lost all my links, how do I get them back?
-If
you've lost all your links due to a hard reset, you may still be able
to recover them. If you're using a version of Super Names prior to v1.5,
you'll need to locate your Super_Names_Links.pdb file in your Backup directory.
Install this file as you would any Palm application, and your links should
be restored.
If
this does not work, or you are using a version of Super Names later than
1.5, than your links are irrevocably lost. [Note: normally link information
will be automatically preserved when using Super Names v1.5 or later.
In this case, you can ignore the Super_Names_Links.pdb file.]
If
your links are not restored, it means the built-in Address book conduit
has changed the unique IDs of all your entries. This is a bug in early
versions of the HotSync software, and it is recommended that you obtain
the latest version from http://www.palm.com. Your links cannot be restored
in this event. If you are using v1.5 or later of Super Names, all of your
additional information is secure.
1.2
I've lost all my links, how do I get them back?
Super Names fields beyond the default fields are not synchronized. The fields not synchronized include: Phone numbers 6-10, Addresses 2 and 3,
the Date and Web fields, and links. These items ARE all backed up, so that if you do a hard reset and lose your data, they'll be restored.
Stand Alone, Inc. is currently working on a Conduit that will all this information to by HotSynced, but we do not have a release date for this.
