Stand Alone, Inc., was officially formed in the
summer of 1995, with the purpose of creating a
line of Newton OS Software which would showcase the
platform. In the two years that followed, Stand
Alone, Inc. became widely recognized as the
largest Newton-only software company.
Since the demise of the Newton OS platform in 1998,
Stand Alone, Inc. expanded its line of software
to include Palm OS® software as well as desktop
Mac OS and Microsoft Windows platforms.
