If you don't have any text selected, tapping the Note Pop button brings up a menu where you can create a new note; or a new dated note, which includes the current date at the top.

Select some text in a note and tap the Note Pop button to bring up a list of all Notes in the
current folder. If you select another note in the folder, the selected text will be pasted to the
end of the note.
