Librarian for the 1.x OS has three main features.

• It saves your place in a Newton Book through a system restart. Normally, you'll lose any bookmarks you have in books that you are reading when you do a restart.
• It moves the close box to the upper right corner of books. Otherwise, the close box obscures the last few words on the last line of a page.
• It allows you to turn the page by sliding the power switch to permit one handed reading.
